Has Facebook gone Gaga?!
Zynga, the creators of the top-played Facebook application ‘Farmville’, are due to release a new app ‘GagaVille’ to celebrate the release of the studio album 'Born This Way.'
Lady Gaga and Zynga have kept in contact since they both donated generous amounts of money to the Japanese Earthquake victims. In a recent press-release for ‘Born This Way’, Lady Gaga said:
"I want to celebrate and share 'Born This Way' with my little monsters in a special way that’s never been done before…” “…Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come and play, and be the first to listen to the album.”
Daily tasks will be set within the came on the lead up to the album release, and for players who complete the tasks they will recieve a first listen to unreleased BTW Tracks.
But that’s not even the end of it. Zynga will release $25 Zynga Game Cards on May 15 through June 11, and redeeming the cards will unlock an exclusive in-game Lady Gaga unicorn for players. Not to mention that seven lucky FarmVille players who redeem these cards will win one day with GaGa, no matter where that may be/what she will be doing at that time.
Even “Words with Friends” app is joining in on the Born This Way fun. Players who spell the mysterious Lady Gaga Word of the Day whilst playing matches will randomly be entered to win tickets to a show on Gaga’s next tour and a signed copy of "Born This Way." And finally, “RewardVille” will feature 10 Lady Gaga-themed prizes across its stable of Facebook games for players that have mustered enough zCoins!
Just two of the new creatures set to be released in ‘GagaVille’ - a Sheep on a Motorbike in honour of the ‘Born This Way’ cover-art and a Unicorn associated with the new album.
