So for my AP Art History final I decided to imitate Warhol’s “Marilyn Diptych” and make my own twist to it.
Since Gaga is my celebrity obsession, I based my piece on her. I did 7 rows of her face, but each row was a different color representing the rainbow colors. The reason why I chose to portray her in rainbow colors was to represent her strong devotion to the gay community and her activism in campaigning to bring about equality in the world.
I decided to donate my art work to my teacher and now it’s being displayed in the school’s showcase.
